Job Overview:

The Director of Soccer Operations is an important role within our club. This individual needs to have a keen focus on the goals and initiatives of the club, and an eye towards growth and making the club the best it can be while providing a quality product on the playing field. While some of the duties of this role are administrative in nature, this role is meant to be one that is strategic, forward-thinking, organized, and progressive. The successful candidate will partner with the Board of Directors and existing staff to help the club grow into the future.

Duties:

• Day-to-Day Operations- emails, website updates, practice decisions (weather cancellations, if required), marketing, social media guidance. Work with the Board of Directors (BOD) as needed on these items, but lead them as needed
• Fundraising Needs- work with BOD to set goals and execute as needed.
• Fields & Equipment- work with Director of Field Maintenance to identify and address needs related to playing surfaces, equipment, etc.
• Tournaments- serve as lead for the club related to tournaments. Work with Registrar as needed.
• Recreation Program- serve as club lead, and assist Director of Recreation Board Member. Includes oversight and communication related to U6/U8, as well as assistance for coaches of recreation teams related to programming, session planning, etc.
• Academy Program- assist Director of Academy as needed, plan and run one or more sessions each season combining rec players at the U8 level to try and identify new Academy-level players for future seasons.
• Select Program- Assist Director of Coaching as needed. Assist with tournament decisions related to playing levels. Assist with tryouts and the basic needs of the select program. Assist registrar in getting registered for events, hotels, etc. as needed.
• Be the primary point of contact for the club for Iowa Soccer. Includes communications, answering questions, reviewing invoices for accuracy and arranging for payment from the Club’s Treasurer.
• Work with the BOD and other staff members as needed to ensure the success of the club.
• The term of this agreement shall be from June 30, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
• The salary for this position will be dependent upon experience and availability of the candidate. It is anticipated that the base salary will be able to be supplemented by summer camps, new programming implementation, as well s the achievement of growth goals for the club. This will be a W-2 position for taxation purposes. Payment for services will be every 2 weeks via direct deposit.

Pay: $25,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
